  4. This book includes most of the articles published by the author
  5. between 1977 and 1995, plus a few that may be published in the next
  6. year or two. The publications that have printed these articles are
  7. The Bridge World, Popular Bridge (now defunct), and The Bulletin
  8. (American Contract Bridge League's membership magazine).

  10. Published articles must usually be greatly condensed in order to
  11. fit space requirements of the publications. The articles in this
  12. book have all been expanded to their full length.

  14. Not that the entire text is included here. For most chapters, the
  15. full length (in single-spaced pages) of the text is shown at the
  16. end of the chapter. For each previously published item, the
  17. publication(s) and dates are also given at the end.
